**Danny Denial** is a Seattle-based singer-songwriter, multidisciplinary artist, and self-taught guitarist who burst onto the scene after ditching a chaotic life in Los Angeles for the Pacific Northwest. Born into a household where music was scarce—mostly just jazz and Celine Dion—he discovered his passion around age 10 through MTV hits from Blink-182 and Britney Spears, then dove deep into '90s alt-rock like Nirvana and Sonic Youth, backtracking to '80s new wave faves such as The Cure's *Disintegration* and Joy Division's *Unknown Pleasures*. Identifying as a queer person of color (often describing himself as Black), he channeled personal struggles—like feeling sidelined in punk scenes and writing lyrics as a "diary" before even picking up a guitar—into raw, genre-bending tracks blending punk, alt, and emo vibes.
