Snag
**Snag** is a trio from Milwaukee known for their dark Midwestern screamo music, often addressing themes of climate anxiety and social justice. Formed in 2016, the band consists of Sam Szymborski on guitar, Peter Murphy on bass, and Bryan Wysocki on drums, with all members contributing vocals. Snag has released several notable works, including a self-titled album and a split EP titled *A Dying Emperor Within A Dying Empire*. Their music often incorporates elements of existential dread, as seen in albums like *Death Doula*, which gained national recognition and placed them on several "Best of 2021" lists.
Snag's style is sometimes humorously referred to as "climate-core," reflecting their focus on environmental issues alongside other socially conscious themes. They have collaborated with bands like Social Caterpillar and Swallows Nest, and have gained a reputation for their intense live performances.
