Lily Vakili is a genre-defying rocker and storyteller whose rich life experiences deeply inform her music. Born in Honduras during a military coup, she grew up across diverse places including Honduras, Florida, Thailand, Puerto Rico, and Iowa, weaving a broad cultural tapestry into her sound. Before fully committing to music, she pursued careers as a dancer, actor, lawyer, and mother, even advocating for disability rights while raising her children. Her creative journey led her to channel life’s complexities and emotions into songwriting, resulting in a powerful blend of rock, soul, and psychedelia. Over the past decade, she has released multiple albums both as a solo artist and with the Vakili Band, earning comparisons to iconic figures like Patti Smith for her raw voice and fearless artistic expression.

Her band, featuring longtime collaborators such as guitarist Ben St. Jacques and harmonica player Joel Dorow, has put out several acclaimed albums including *Honey* (2023), *Photograph* (2024), and *Tannersville* (2024).
