The Divorce

**The Divorce** is a rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in the early 2000s. The band's original lineup included Shane Berry on lead vocals, keyboard, guitar, and tambourine, and Kyle Risan on drums. Before releasing their first full-length album, *There Will Be Blood Tonight* in 2003, they added Garrett Lunceford on lead guitar. The band went on to release *The Gifted Program* in 2005. Although they recorded tracks for a third album, *In Arms*, the band broke up before its release. *In Arms* was eventually made available on streaming services in 2019. The Divorce briefly reunited for a couple of shows, including one in 2011 and another in 2022.

The band's history is marked by a blend of energetic live performances and a dynamic sound that captured the attention of their local music scene. Despite their relatively short career, The Divorce left a lasting impact on Seattle's rock music landscape. After disbanding, members like Garrett Lunceford went on to contribute to other notable bands, showcasing the talent and versatility that defined The Divorce's music.
