Vasari Singers

Vasari Singers is one of Britain's leading chamber choirs, founded in 1980 by Jeremy Backhouse, a renowned conductor and former Canterbury Cathedral boy chorister. The choir is celebrated for its versatility, performing a wide range of repertoire from Renaissance to contemporary music. They have a strong tradition of commissioning new works, with over 20 commissions since 2000, including a notable a cappella Requiem by Gabriel Jackson in 2008. Vasari Singers regularly perform at major concert venues in London and abroad and have been featured on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM. Their extensive discography includes numerous critically acclaimed recordings, many of which are premiere works, and they have achieved chart successes in the Specialist Classical Charts.

Recent releases by Vasari Singers include "Heaven Full of Stars" and "A Winter's Light: A Christmas Collection," among others. The choir's commitment to contemporary music and their skilled performances have earned them recognition as one of the world's finest choirs.
