Falkenbach is a German musical project that melds black metal with Viking metal and atmospheric folk elements, founded by the sole member Vratyas Vakyas. Emerging in the early 1990s, Falkenbach is among the progenitors of the Viking metal genre, recognized for their incorporation of mythological themes and epic melodies. Falkenbach first made a mark on the metal scene with their debut album "...en their medh riki fara..." released in 1996. "Asa," their sixth studio album released in 2013, stays true to Falkenbach's pioneering style, combining heroic storytelling with an immersive atmosphere.
