Shadow Rebels is an Israeli band founded by Michael Rosenfeld in September 2004. Initially, the band consisted of Michael on vocals and bass, and Alon Lazarovich on drums, playing Grunge/Alternative Rock. After Alon's departure in 2005, Orian Cnafeau joined as the drummer. The band released several demos and albums, including "Guitar Cancelled" (2006) and "Lamzaknum" (2008), before going on hiatus in 2009. In 2013, the band reunited with a new lineup and sound, releasing "Oversleep Hurricane" in 2014. Over time, their sound evolved to incorporate more Hard Rock and Post-Grunge elements, as seen in their 2021 album "On The Ride." Recent releases include "Nobody's Land," "Deepest Gloom," and "Liquid," showcasing their contemporary style with heavy riffs and catchy refrains.
The band's lineup has changed over the years, with significant contributions from various musicians. For instance, Rustam Safaraliev played guitar on many tracks before being replaced by Uzi Eliyahu. Their music has been noted for its powerful and accessible sound, blending classic and modern elements. Shadow Rebels continues to evolve, reflecting their journey from a Grunge/Alternative roots to a more Hard Rock-oriented sound today.
