Felix Borowski was an American composer, music critic, and educator who lived from 1872 to 1956. He was born in Clinton, Iowa, and studied music at the Chicago Musical College and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Leipzig, Germany. Borowski composed a wide range of works, including operas, symphonies, concertos, and chamber music. He also wrote extensively about music, serving as music critic for the Chicago Tribune and the New York Herald Tribune. Borowski taught at the Chicago Musical College and the Juilliard School of Music, where he influenced a generation of American composers.
