Mary Springfels

Mary Springfels is a prominent American viola da gamba player and a leading figure in the early music scene. With a career spanning several decades, she's known for her passionate performances and scholarly approach to music from the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods. She was a founding member of the early music ensemble The Newberry Consort and has performed with other renowned groups such as the Sequentia ensemble and the Waverly Consort.
