Prisoner

Prisoner is a high-energy hard rock/metal band hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, founded in 2020 by frontman Murray Emery (vocals/guitar). Drawing heavy influences from Black Sabbath, Megadeth, AC/DC, Metallica, and more, they blend classic riffs, thrashy tempos, and tight grooves into a fresh take on heavy metal that nods to the NWOBHM era while feeling totally modern.

With a killer lineup of Murray Emery, guitarist Marco Cioffi (or sometimes Jeremy Hartmann), bassist Trevor Macdonald, and drummer Karl Pflug, they've dropped a self-titled debut LP in 2024, the *House of Cards* EP that same year (featuring tracks like "Skies are Blackened" and "House of Cards"), and their sophomore album *Kill The King* in 2025—plus singles like "Cover Me" and "Prisoner of Time." They've shared stages with bands like Osyron and Hazzerd, hit fests like Electric Highway, and are already tracking more music for tours ahead.
