Souvik Gupta

Souvik Gupta, popularly known as Savvy, is an Indian music director, composer, singer, and programmer primarily active in the Bengali film industry across West Bengal and Bangladesh. Born on May 4, 1983, in Kolkata, he started his professional music career in 2012 with the film *Khokababu*, composing the hit song "Khoka Chalu Cheez." Before venturing into film music, he was a keyboard player and vocalist for Kolkata-based rock bands Insomnia and Crystal Grass. Savvy has composed for numerous Bengali films and significant events, including the theme song for the first Kolkata fashion week. Beyond films, he has created music singles like "Viral Baby," "Rob Jane," and "Ki Jala (Ahaa Re)." He holds a degree in electronics engineering and has worked extensively in both Indian and Bangladeshi film industries, gaining acclaim for his versatile musical style.

His notable contributions include hits for movies such as *Bibaho Diaries*, *Rangbaz*, and *Bhalo Theko*, and he has received awards like the Mirchi Award for Popular Choice for *Ghare and Baire* and the TeleCine Award for Best Music Director for *Hoichoi Unlimited*.
