Adolescents

Adolescents are an influential American punk rock band hailing from Fullerton, California, formed in 1980 by members of the nascent local punk scene. The band's original lineup consisted of Tony Cadena (now known as Tony Reflex) on vocals, brothers Rikk and Frank Agnew on guitars, Steve Soto on bass, and Casey Royer on drums. They are widely recognized as one of the leading lights of the hardcore punk movement, particularly within the Southern California circuit.

Adolescents quickly made a name for themselves with their self-titled debut album, often referred to as "The Blue Album," which was released in 1981 and became a seminal work in the hardcore genre. Over time, they experienced multiple lineup changes and breakups, but their influence has remained undiminished. Celebrated for their socially aware lyrics and energetic melodies, the band's most recent releases, including "Caesar Salad Days" and "Russian Spider Dump," continue to showcase their evolving sound while maintaining the raw, vibrant edge that has characterized their music since the '80s. Despite the loss of founding member Steve Soto in 2018, Adolescents persist as a dynamic force in punk rock, as captured in various studio albums, live recordings like "Live At The House Of Blues," and the remastered version of their classic hit "Amoeba."
