Fragma, also known as the Fragma Project, is a German trance music group that originated in the city of Cologne in the late 1990s. Created by brothers Dirk and Marco Duderstadt, who are producers and DJs, the group initially found success with the fusion of classical orchestral elements with pulsating dance beats. The addition of vocalist Damae, whose full name is Eva Martinez, completed the ensemble and helped propel Fragma into the international spotlight.
The group's breakthrough came with their hit single "Toca Me" in 1999, followed by the worldwide smash "Toca's Miracle" in 2000, which blended the music from "Toca Me" with the vocals from Coco Star's "I Need a Miracle." Their debut album, "Toca," included these hits along with noteworthy tracks like "Everytime You Need Me" and "You Are Alive," laying the foundation for their enduring presence in the dance music scene. Over the years, Fragma has remained relevant through continuous releases and remixes that resonate with both new and loyal fans, as evidenced by their 20th Anniversary Edition of "Toca" and the variety of remixes for singles like "Shine On" and "I Want More." Despite the ever-evolving landscape of electronic music, Fragma has maintained a sense of longevity by adapting their classic trance sound to contemporary tastes, ensuring their music remains a staple in clubs and playlists around the globe.
