Nicolas Godin is a French musician and producer best known as one half of the influential electronic duo Air, alongside Jean-Benoît Dunckel. With Air, he helped shape the sound of downtempo and chillout music in the late '90s and 2000s, gaining international acclaim for albums like Moon Safari and Talkie Walkie. Outside of Air, Godin has cultivated a solo career defined by his signature blend of lush electronic textures, classical influences, and architectural inspiration.
His solo work includes the 2015 album Contrepoint, which drew inspiration from classical composer Johann Sebastian Bach, and 2020’s Concrete and Glass, an album influenced by modernist architecture and featuring collaborations with artists like Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip. Godin has also composed for film and television, including the score for the documentary Fire of Love and the French series Au service de la France (A Very Secret Service). With his warm analog sound and refined aesthetic, Nicolas Godin continues to explore new creative directions while staying rooted in the dreamy atmospheres that define his work.
