Special Friend is the solo project of Australian musician and producer, Nina de Heney. Based in Melbourne, she crafts a unique and immersive sound that blends shadowy, atmospheric pop with electronic textures and a touch of post-punk cool. Her music often feels like a beautifully haunting soundtrack, built around hypnotic bass lines (her main instrument), layered synths, and her distinct, murmured vocal delivery.
