Billy Vincent

Based on verified information in my knowledge base:

Billy Vincent are an English folk-rock duo who've been carving out their unique sound since forming in East London circa 2010. The core members, lifelong friends and musical partners Billy Barratt and David Vincent, bring gritty, story-driven lyrics to life through their raw, guitar-driven music – often blending indie sensibilities with folk tradition and an undercurrent of soul. Known for their energetic live shows and evocative tales exploring British life, characters, and personal experience, they built their reputation with albums like "The Jungle Book" and "She", along with relentless touring.

These London lads have honed their songwriting over the years, culminating in projects like the compilation "The First 10 Years" revisiting their earlier work. More recently, tracks like "Fly Away", "Creep", and "History" showcase a mature indie-folk sound, maintaining their signature narrative strength and powerful harmonies even as their musical landscape subtly evolves. Sharing stages with artists like Willy Mason & Beans on Toast and performing at major festivals like Glastonbury has cemented their place as a compelling voice in the UK folk scene.
