Chas & Dave were a beloved English music duo made up of Chas Hodges and Dave Peacock, best known for their warm, witty, pub-ready blend of pop, rock, and “rockney” (rock with a London/working-class singalong spirit). After first cutting their teeth as in-demand musicians and songwriters, they became fixtures of British popular culture in the late ’70s and ’80s, turning everyday stories and a cheeky sense of humour into instantly catchy tunes.
