Fossilization

Fossilization is a killer death metal band hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2019 by the dynamic duo of V (handling vocals, guitars, and bass) and P (on drums). They quickly made waves in the underground scene with their cavernous, old-school death metal sound that's heavy on atmosphere and brutality, drawing influences from legends like Incantation and Autopsy while carving out their own grim niche.

Their debut EP, "He Whose Name Was Long Forgotten," dropped in 2021 via Everlasting Spew Records, showcasing their raw, doomy riffs and guttural vibes. They followed up with splits and more releases, culminating in their punishing full-length album "Leprous Daylight" in 2023, which solidified their rep as rising stars in the extreme metal world.
