Charlie Sloth

Charlie Sloth (real name Charlie Rouhana) is a British DJ and radio personality best known for championing UK hip-hop and grime. He rose to prominence through his high-energy “Fire in the Booth” freestyle series, which became a major platform for emerging and established MCs to showcase their bars, and he later became widely associated with BBC Radio 1Xtra, where he hosted flagship rap and urban music shows.

Outside of radio, Sloth has been involved in live events and DJing across the UK scene, helping break new talent and keeping spotlight on homegrown rap. He’s also known for catchphrases like “It’s time for Fire in the Booth!” and for being one of the key media figures who helped bring UK rap freestyles into the mainstream conversation.
