Ascendant Vierge is an electronic music duo formed in 2019, consisting of French singer-songwriter Mathilde Fernandez and DJ/producer Paul Seul. The pair combines Fernandez's theatrical vocals and gothic-pop sensibilities with Seul's hard-hitting techno and gabber production. Their music blends elements of hardcore techno, trance, and pop to create a unique sound that has garnered them a cult following in the European electronic music scene. The duo released their debut album "Une Nouvelle Chance" in 2023, which showcases their signature mix of intense beats and dramatic vocals.
