Velnias

Velnias is a Colorado-based band that has carved a distinctive niche within the realms of atmospheric and doom-infused black metal. Known for their unique blend of somber melodies and aggressive tonalities, the band has steadily crafted a sonically rich and emotionally profound discography since their emergence. Originating from the American Midwest, Velnias was founded in 2006, and it wasn't long before they established themselves within the underground metal community through their intense live performances and ambitious musical vision.

Over the years, Velnias has released several acclaimed works that have helped to solidify their reputation as purveyors of dark and thoughtful metal. From their earlier release, "Sovereign Nocturnal" (2008), which garnered attention for its raw emotion and organic production, to their more recent offerings like "Scion of Aether" (2020), the band's growth and evolution are evident. Each record, including "Rending of Dyadic Convolution," "Supernal Emergent," "Aurora Rune," "Absolution," and "RuneEater," showcases their commitment to pushing the boundaries of their sound, balancing the weight of doom with the expansiveness of atmospheric black metal. Velnias' work resonates with those who appreciate music that speaks to both the somber depths and transcendent peaks of the human experience.
