Baker Island

Baker Island is an indie-noise-pop band from Newcastle, formed in 2013 initially as a recording project by Sean Dodds. The band evolved into a live ensemble featuring Sean on guitar and vocals, Kev Raijah on guitar, Cathy Russell on bass, Chris Perriman on keys, and Matt Hayward on drums. Their music is often described as the "fuzzy love child of Pavement and Pixies," blending catchy hooks with a unique sound. Baker Island has released several notable works, including the debut album 'Bobby Hundreds' and the second LP 'Restless Legs'. They have gained airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, and other platforms, and have performed at festivals like Indietracks and Evolution Emerging Festival.
