Ghostigital

Ghostigital is an eclectic electronic music project, born from the collaboration between two distinct and influential figures in the Icelandic music scene: Einar Örn Benediktsson, former member of the avant-punk band The Sugarcubes alongside the iconic Björk, and Curver Thoroddsen, an innovative producer and artist in his own right. Ghostigital's sound is a boundary-pushing fusion of experimental electronic landscapes, industrial beats, and spoken word performances that challenge the conventions of music and art.

Since their formation, Ghostigital have carved out a niche for their unique and confrontational auditory experiences, combining Einar Örn's poetic and often politicized approach to vocalization with Curver's textured sound design. Their most recent releases showcase this compelling synergy; from the cerebral soundscapes of "Aero," to the socio-political commentary embedded within "The Antimatter Boutique," each project serves as a testament to their creative vision. Albums like "Division of Culture & Tourism" and the "Don't Push Me EP" continue their tradition of audacious experimentation while "Radium" and "In Cod We Trust" highlight Ghostigital's capacity to interweave humor and avant-garde artistry. As a duo, Ghostigital stands as a testament to the richness and diversity of modern Icelandic music, boldly transcending genres and expectations.
