Craig Brann

Craig Brann is a jazz guitarist originally from Whitefield, Maine, who grew up surrounded by music on a family farm where his father played country and western guitar. He started playing guitar as a child, inspired by his family and early gigs in coffee shops, before moving to New York City in the late 1990s to pursue a professional music career. Known for blending jazz with soulful improvisations, Brann has released several albums as a leader on the respected SteepleChase label, including *Past/Present/Future*, *The Twelve*, and *Lineage*.

His playing reflects both his deep roots in Americana and his commitment to jazz traditions, and he often incorporates spiritual and melodic elements into his work. Along the way, Brann has collaborated with like-minded musicians, steadily building a reputation for thoughtful, swinging guitar. Beyond performing and recording, he also teaches advanced guitar, sharing his expertise with the next generation of players.
