Francesco Renga

Francesco Renga is an acclaimed Italian singer-songwriter known for his emotive vocals and heartfelt compositions. Born in Udine on June 12, 1968, Renga embarked on his music career in the mid-1980s as the lead vocalist of the Italian rock band Timoria, contributing to their success until he left to pursue a solo career in 1998. With his rich, gravelly voice and a knack for crafting poetic lyrics, Renga has become a significant figure in the Italian music scene.

After leaving Timoria, Renga's solo career took off with the release of his self-titled album in 2001. It was, however, his third album, "Tracce," that earned him widespread acclaim, including a victory at the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival in 2005 with the song "Angelo." Over the years, Renga has continued to enchant audiences with his soulful balladry and rock-infused tracks, releasing various albums and hit singles such as "Il mio giorno più bello nel mondo" and "Vivendo adesso." Some of his most recent works include the introspective album "RENGANEK," and the singles "Il Solito Lido" and "L'infinito più o meno." With a career spanning over two decades, Renga remains a beloved and influential figure in contemporary Italian music, constantly reinventing himself while staying true to his artistic essence.
