Filth & Smell, also known as Giovanni Spagnolo, was born in 1986 in Scalea, Southern Italy. At a young age, he suffered from insomnia and would often ask his father to play "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin to help him sleep. This early exposure to music led him to learn the guitar at age five. Over time, he expanded his musical skills to include the keyboard and saxophone, heavily influenced by jazz, particularly Charlie Parker. By age 16, he became deeply interested in House music, especially the works of Masters at Work and Kenny Dope. Filth & Smell began producing music at 20 and is known for blending House and Hip Hop styles, drawing from Jazz, Funk, and Blues influences.
Some of his notable releases include "Lady of the Night," "All I Wanna Do," "Panama Sweet Spot," "Dubbed Stuff," and "Shufflin' With Jimy." His music often reflects a dynamic mix of genres, showcasing his versatility as an artist. Filth & Smell has gained recognition in the Jackin House scene, ranking among the top artists on platforms like Traxsource.
