Monochromatic Visions

Monochromatic Visions is a post-punk duo founded in 2014 by Arthur Pegis, who is South African-born but raised in Athens. Initially, the project emerged from the dissolution of Pegis's former indie rock band. Over time, Monochromatic Visions evolved into a duo that includes Italian-born Thomas Bagnoli. The band creates music that blends shoegaze, indie rock, and post-punk elements, often drawing comparisons to iconic bands like The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Cure, and Joy Division. Their early work gained traction in the DIY scene, and they have supported notable acts such as Tonstartssbandht and TAU. Recent releases include the album "Reform" and EPs like "Change Who You Are," showcasing their evolving sound.

Monochromatic Visions' music is characterized by reverb-soaked guitars, purposeful riffs, and repetitive synth lines, crafting a nostalgic yet visceral sound experience. Their latest releases have been well-received, with a strong focus on emotional depth and sonic experimentation. Notably, their work has been featured in Red Bull surf and skateboard videos and highlighted on BBC radio shows. The duo's ability to blend different influences has captured the attention of fans across various genres, making them a standout in both the post-punk and indie rock scenes.
