Ashes And Diamonds

Ashes and Diamonds is a supergroup featuring Daniel Ash of Bauhaus, Love and Rockets, and Tones on Tail fame, joined by Bruce Smith from Public Image Ltd and The Pop Group, and Paul Spencer Denman of Sade and Sweetback. Their sound blends Ash’s signature post-punk, glam, and experimental style with Bruce’s textured percussion and Paul’s smooth, rhythmic basslines to create a cinematic and powerful rock experience. The band’s debut album, *Ashes and Diamonds Are Forever*, released in 2025, took seven years to complete and showcases gritty, glam-infused rock with a modern edge, highlighted by the single “On A Rocka” with a video directed by Jake Scott, son of Ridley Scott.

The group serendipitously formed in Los Angeles when all three musicians happened to be renting the same rehearsal space, quickly clicking and starting to create music together. Ashes and Diamonds reflects the storied careers of its members but aims for an honest and fresh sound that isn’t just a supergroup novelty. Their debut album is richly melodic and powerfully energetic, drawing from the deep musical histories and chemistry of its members.
