Gerald McCarthy

Gerald McCarthy is a jazz saxophonist and clarinetist who has been active since the 1950s. He is best known for his work with the Stan Kenton Orchestra and for his own recordings as a leader. McCarthy's playing is characterized by its warm, lyrical tone and his improvisational skills. He has been praised for his ability to swing and for his melodic sense. McCarthy has recorded over 50 albums as a leader and has appeared on numerous recordings as a sideman. He continues to perform and record today.
