Lights & Motion

Lights & Motion is a cinematic post-rock project helmed by Swedish musician and composer Christoffer Franzen. The project initially gained recognition for its lush soundscapes and emotive melodies, artfully combining elements of orchestral music with classic rock instrumentation. The brainchild behind these plaintive harmonies, Franzen began the project as a personal outlet for his musical expression, recording and producing all the music himself in his studio in Gothenburg, Sweden. Since its inception, Lights & Motion has captivated listeners with its expansive, dreamlike quality and has provided soundtracks for numerous films, TV shows, and commercials, highlighting Franzen's prowess in creating deeply moving auditory experiences.

Celebrating a decade of melancholic brilliance, Lights & Motion revisited their roots with the 2023 release of "Reanimation 2023 (Revisited 10th Anniversary Edition)," showcasing remastered versions of formative tracks. This anniversary edition breathes new life into fan favorites like "The March," "Fractured," and "Son," allowing both new and loyal listeners a chance to experience the evolution of Franzen's sound. Throughout the years, the project has maintained a consistent output of ethereal and inspiring music, evident in releases such as "The World I Remember" and "These Hands Could Hold the World." Even with reinterpretations like "The Great Wide Open (Reimagined)," Lights & Motion continues to enchant with a sense of wonder, inviting audiences into vast, auditory landscapes laced with hope and introspection.
