Gabi Delgado

Gabi Delgado was a pioneering figure in electronic music, best known as one half of the influential German duo Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft (DAF). Born in Spain and raised in Germany, Delgado helped shape the sound and style of early electronic body music (EBM) and synth-punk in the late 1970s and early 1980s. With DAF, he pushed boundaries with provocative lyrics and minimalist, hard-hitting beats, influencing a wide range of genres from industrial to techno.

Outside of his work with DAF, Delgado pursued solo projects that explored his distinctive blend of punk attitude and electronic innovation. His solo releases reflect his bold artistic vision and continued relevance in underground music scenes. Gabi Delgado remained an enigmatic and charismatic presence in the music world until his passing in 2020.
