Glorious Bankrobbers

Glorious Bankrobbers kicked off in Stockholm back in the summer of 1983, with Olle Hillborg on vocals, Jonas Pettersson and Mikael Jansson on guitars, Staffan Björkman on bass, and Jörgen on drums. They hit the ground running with their self-titled debut album in 1984, produced by Kee Marcello of Europe fame, and built a wild rep as one of Stockholm's most explosive live acts, touring Sweden and dipping into Norway.

Lineup shifts kept things rocking—Pelham hopped on bass and Oden on drums for that first record, leading to the sleazy classic *Dynamite Sex Dose* in 1989, whose title track blasted on MTV's Headbangers Ball. They stormed New York in 1990, gigging at CBGB's (captured on a live album), but things paused after Olle joined Backstreet Girls and the rest morphed into Mental Hippie Blood. The crew reunited in 2006, dropping *The Glorious Sound of Rock'n'Roll* in 2007, and powered through tragedy with Oden's passing in 2012. Fresh blood like Danne Lagerstedt on guitar and Anders Bentell on drums fueled recent bangers *Back on the Road* (2023), *Rock'n'Roll Church* (2024), and *Intruder* (2026), proving these Swedish rock 'n' roll outlaws are still louder and hungrier than ever.
