Pity Party

Pity Party is the raw, cathartic DIY punk project of Oakland-based musician Cassie J. Sneider, serving up unapologetically honest anthems about mental health, queer identity, and surviving capitalism’s garbage fire since 2015. Blending scrappy emo-punk energy with darkly witty lyrics, their music—from early releases like *Saccharine* to recent gut-punch tracks like *Masculinity Is a Prison* and *Suicide Handbook*—feels like a late-night therapy session screamed over blown-out guitar riffs. Known for their fiercely independent ethos and electrifying basement-show energy, Pity Party’s discography doubles as a survival kit for anyone who’s ever felt too weird, too sad, or too angry to fit in.
