Warren Wolf is an American jazz vibraphonist (and multi-instrumentalist) from Baltimore, Maryland, known for high-energy, modern playing that draws on straight-ahead jazz, funk, and soul. He came up through Baltimore’s vibrant music scene, studied at Berklee College of Music, and has built a reputation both as a bandleader and an in-demand sideman.
Over the years he’s released a steady run of albums under his own name while also performing and recording with major jazz artists, including drummer Christian McBride. Wolf’s versatility—often heard not just on vibraphone but also on drums and other instruments—has made him a standout voice in contemporary jazz, equally comfortable delivering hard-swinging lines or groove-heavy, crowd-friendly cuts.
