Murder Junkies

**Murder Junkies** were a controversial punk rock band best known as the final backing group for infamous singer GG Allin, joining forces with him in the early 1990s. Formed in 1990, the band embraced Allin’s chaotic, confrontational style, delivering raw, aggressive punk anthems that matched his notorious live performances—which often involved self-mutilation, nudity, and audience clashes. Their partnership with Allin was short-lived but impactful, ending abruptly with his overdose death in 1993. Despite this, the Murder Junkies reformed years later, releasing gritty material like *Killing For Christ Sakes* and *A Killing Tradition*, which channeled their unapologetic, rough-around-the-edges sound. Live recordings like *The Last Show: Live At The Gas Station...* capture the volatile energy that made them a cult fixture in underground punk circles. The band’s legacy remains intertwined with GG Allin’s legend, embodying punk’s most extreme, rebellious spirit.
