Pont Aeri

Pont Aeri isn't a single artist, but rather the name of a legendary nightclub near Manresa, Spain, and, by extension, the sound that came to define it: makina. This high-energy, fast-paced electronic music style, characterized by rapid-fire, distorted kick drums, became hugely popular in Spain during the late '90s and early 2000s, with Pont Aeri at its epicenter. The club's DJs, including resident DJs Skudero, Xavi Metralla, and DJ Sisu, helped shape the sound and spread its influence, releasing numerous compilations and tracks under the Pont Aeri name. Think hardcore techno with a distinctly Spanish flavor.

While the club itself closed its doors in 2012, the Pont Aeri legacy continues to thrive.
