Makina

Makina is a high-energy, fast-paced genre of electronic dance music originating from Spain in the early '90s, blending elements from hardcore, techno, and gabber. Characterized by its rapid BPM (typically ranging from 160 to 200), melodic hooks, and prominent basslines, the genre is designed to invigorate the dance floor. Makina tracks often feature euphoric and anthemic synthesizer melodies alongside rhythmic, pounding beats, creating an intense and vibrant atmosphere. Artists like DJ Skudero, Chasis, and Sensity World have been pivotal in shaping the sound, contributing with tracks that encapsulate the spirit of euphoria and resilience, making makina not just music, but a cultural movement within Spain's electronic music scene, particularly resonant within the Valencian community. The genre maintains a devoted following, celebrating its unique blend of speed, melody, and rhythm.
