Carman
Carman (full name Carman Licciardello) was an American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter known for big, theatrical live shows and faith-centered pop/rock songs that were especially popular from the 1980s through the 1990s. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he became one of the best-known names in Christian entertainment, releasing a long run of albums and concert recordings and earning multiple Dove Awards along the way.
Beyond music, Carman was also recognized for his evangelistic approach to performance and outreach. In 2013 he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, later telling fans he had gone into remission, and he continued recording and touring in the years that followed. He died in 2021 at the age of 65.
