Alvvays

Alvvays is an indie pop band hailing from Toronto, Canada, with a flair for crafting breezy melodies infused with a touch of melancholy and nostalgia. The band came together in 2011 and consists of Molly Rankin (lead vocals, guitar), Kerri MacLellan (keyboards), Alec O'Hanley (guitar), Brian Murphy (bass), and Sheridan Riley (drums). Their eponymous debut album, 'Alvvays', released in 2014, was a hit among indie enthusiasts, celebrated for its jangly pop sound and sticky-sweet choruses, with tracks like "Archie, Marry Me" quickly becoming fan favorites.

Building on the success of their first record, Alvvays released their sophomore album 'Antisocialites' in 2017, which deepened their signature sound with lush synths and sharper lyrics, earning critical acclaim and strengthening their presence in the indie music scene. In October 2022, they continued their upward trajectory with 'Blue Rev', which remained true to their roots while exploring a denser, more feedback-laden landscape. With each new release, Alvvays has demonstrated a masterful ability to balance wistful lyrics with effervescent tunes, solidifying their place as darlings of the modern indie pop world.
