Archgoat is a revered Finnish black/death metal band, known for their raw and unapologetically blasphemous approach to extreme music. Formed in 1989 in the city of Turku by brothers Ritual Butcherer and Lord Angelslayer, the band's initial surge in the underground scene was marked by their influential demo "Jesus Spawn" and the EP "Angelcunt (Tales of Desecration)" in 1993. Their sound, characterized by ferocious, low-fi brutality and dark, satanic themes, struck a chord within the metal community, but the band went on a hiatus in 1993 shortly after their initial releases.

Archgoat returned with a vengeance in 2004, reigniting their musical endeavors with "Angelslaying Black Fucking Metal", a compilation of earlier works that reminded the scene of their formidable presence. They followed this with a string of full-length albums, including the savage "Whore of Bethlehem" in 2006, and more recently, "The Luciferian Crown" in 2018, maintaining their status as icons of the extreme metal genre. Their latest offerings, such as "Worship the Eternal Darkness" in 2021 and "All Christianity Ends", continue to deliver the band's signature blend of blasphemous lyrical content and aggressive musical onslaughts, solidifying Archgoat's legacy as a relentless force in the pantheon of black metal.
