Glo-Worm

Glo-Worm is an indie pop trio from Washington D.C. that formed in the summer of 1993, featuring Pam Berry on vocals, Terry Banks on guitar, and Dan Searing on drums. Pam Berry, known for her work with bands like Black Tambourine and as co-founder of Chickfactor magazine, leads the band with her distinctive voice. The group released three 7” EPs and songs on compilations during their roughly two-and-a-half-year run, culminating in the 1996 album *Glimmer*, which compiled their singles and included a cover of The Cure’s “Friday I’m in Love.” Though they played mostly local gigs and shared stages with acts like The Magnetic Fields and Radiohead, Glo-Worm never toured extensively but left a lasting impression with their elegant, melodic indie pop sound.

Their song "Tilt-a-Whirl (WHFS Session)" was recorded in 1995 for Dave Marsh’s radio show and is noted for its classy vocal and instrumental restraint. *Glimmer* was reissued on vinyl in 2025, marking the first time it was available on LP, allowing a new generation to experience the band’s shimmering indie pop charm.
