Blood Red Shoes is a British alternative rock band formed in 2004 in Brighton, England. Comprising Laura-Mary Carter (vocals, guitar) and Steven Ansell (vocals, drums), the duo is known for their fiery brand of indie rock, marked by punchy riffs and compelling vocal dynamics. They took their name from a Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire musical, where Rogers dyed her white dancing shoes red, echoing the intensity and tirelessness they wanted for their music.
