Barnabas Sky

Barnabas Sky is a melodic rock project created by German guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Markus Pfeffer, who is well-known for his work with bands like Lazarus Dream and Winterland. The project began during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way for Pfeffer to reconnect with his musical roots and collaborate with some of his personal favorite vocalists. The albums feature a strong lineup of guest singers such as Danny Vaughn, Tony Harnell, Dirk Kennedy, and others, each performing songs tailored to their unique styles, which gives the project a rich variety while maintaining a cohesive sound. Pfeffer handles all the guitars, bass, and synthesizers, crafting a blend of edgy riffs, intricate solos, and atmospheric textures that define Barnabas Sky’s sound.

Since its inception around 2020, Barnabas Sky has released several albums including *Inspirations* (2021), *What Comes To Light* (2022), and most recently *Over The Horizon* (2025). These albums showcase a mix of melodic rock anthems and epic compositions featuring catchy melodies and powerful vocals. Markus Pfeffer’s vision for Barnabas Sky was both a creative outlet during challenging times and a celebration of the rock heroes that inspired him, resulting in a project welcomed by fans of classic and modern melodic rock alike.
