SKÁLD is a French band that takes its audience on a mystical journey back to the age of the Vikings through their evocative music. Formed in 2018 by producer Christophe Voisin-Boisvinet, the band’s name is derived from the Old Norse term for “poet” and reflects their deeply poetic and narrative-driven approach to songwriting. SKÁLD distinguishes itself from contemporary music with their use of traditional instruments like the lyre, tagelharpa, and goat horn, and by singing in Old Norse, the language of the Vikings.
