Frederik Abas

Frederik Abas is a Dutch DJ and producer rooted deeply in the Netherlands' electronic music scene, particularly known for his energetic blend of house, tech house, and electro sounds with an underground edge. Starting his musical journey in the early 1990s as a light and sound technician, he soon transitioned into DJing at student and wedding parties, inspired by Dutch house pioneers like DJ Marcello and Dimitri Kneppers. Over the years, Frederik has become a staple in Amsterdam’s nightlife, holding a long-standing residency at the iconic Escape nightclub since 2005 and performing at major festivals like Loveland for nearly a decade.

His sets are celebrated for keeping crowds moving with dynamic, danceable rhythms, which draw on house, progressive, and Afrohouse influences. Frederik has shared stages and collaborated with renowned DJs such as Tiësto—who personally invited him for an extended 3.5-hour set—Don Diablo, Quintino, and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano. As a producer, his tracks like "Prisoner," "Different," and "Run to Me" showcase his ability to fuse vibrant melodies with infectious beats, making him a respected name in electronic music worldwide. In 2024, he marked 30 years of DJing, continuing to release music and prepare new projects, including a radio show, to connect with global audiences.
