Atomic Vulture

Atomic Vulture is an instrumental three-piece stoner/space rock band from Bruges, Belgium. The band was formed in 2011, originally as a four-piece stoner rock group called Cocaine Rodeo. After the singer left, the remaining members decided to continue as an instrumental outfit, renaming themselves Atomic Vulture. The current lineup consists of Pascal David on guitar, Kris Hoornaert on bass, and Jens Van Hollebeke on drums. Their sound combines heavy, groovy riffs with spacey vibes and cinematic soundscapes, creating an immersive instrumental experience. The band has released several albums, including "Pilgrims of the Sun," "Moving Through Silence," and "Into Orbit," showcasing their unique blend of stoner rock and space rock elements.

Atomic Vulture's musical influences span a wide range, with Pascal drawing from classic blues-based heavy rock and '90s stoner rock, while Jens and Kris bring in elements of '70s rock, metal, and punk. The band's decision to remain instrumental allows for total freedom in composition, crafting songs that are both engaging and atmospheric. They have performed at various festivals and venues, including Alcatraz Festival and Deserfest Antwerp, and continue to build a loyal following with their distinctive sound.
