Local H

Local H, an American rock band formed in 1987, hails from Zion, Illinois, and distinguishes itself with a robust, gritty, and urgent sound that resonates with fans of post-grunge and alternative rock. The duo, originally comprised of guitarist and vocalist Scott Lucas, along with drummer Joe Daniels, streamlined the traditional rock setup by incorporating bass pickups into the guitar, thereby creating a fuller sound that belies their limited lineup. After Daniels left the band in 1999, he was replaced by Brian St. Clair, who was later succeeded by Ryan Harding in 2013.

Local H is best known for their breakout hit "Bound for the Floor", an anthemic staple of the 90s rock scene. Over the decades, they've maintained a devoted following through relentless touring and a consistent output of raw, honest music that explores both personal and socio-political themes. Their more recent work includes the album "LIFERS", released in 2020, which showcases the band's enduring energy and commitment to their craft. They've continued to engage fans during challenging times, evident from their "Awesome Quarantine Mix-Tape" series. The aforementioned single "8:46", is emblematic of their inclination to address timely and weighty issues, reflecting on societal challenges and injustices. With "Live in Europe," Local H has captured the intensity and immediacy of their live performances, reaffirming their status as stalwarts of heartfelt rock music even beyond their home soil.
