Federico Colli

Federico Colli is an acclaimed Italian pianist born in Brescia in 1988, known for his imaginative and intelligent interpretations combined with impeccable technique. He studied at the Milan Conservatory, the Imola International Piano Academy, and the Salzburg Mozarteum under notable teachers like Sergio Marengoni and Boris Petrushansky. Colli rose to international prominence after winning the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg in 2011 and the Leeds International Piano Competition in 2012. Since then, he has played with leading orchestras across Europe, Russia, Japan, and the Americas, and appeared at prestigious venues and festivals worldwide.

His recordings are highly praised, including a celebrated cycle of Mozart’s works for solo piano released on Chandos, known for their harmonic sensitivity and fresh approach. Colli is noted for bringing a crystalline brilliance and deep insight into his performances, combining technical mastery with emotional depth. His discography also includes albums of works by Scarlatti, Bach, and Busoni, showing his versatility and broad artistic range.
