Hopewell

Hopewell is a New York-based psych-rock outfit that's been crafting swirling sonic landscapes since the mid-90s. Founded by frontman Jason Sebastian Russo (former Mercury Rev member), the band became known for their bombastic blend of shoegaze textures and classic rock energy, earning them cult status in the underground scene. Their work with producer Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, MGMT) helped shape their signature cinematic sound heard on albums like *Beautiful Targets* and *The Curved Glass*. Recent releases like *Good Good Desperation* (2019) and *Another Music* (2020) show the band evolving while maintaining their love for epic crescendos and fuzzed-out experimentation.
