Rema

Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and rapper who has emerged as one of the leading voices of the Afrobeats genre. Born in 2000 in Benin City, Edo State, Rema's foray into the music industry began at a young age, and he experienced a meteoric rise after being signed to Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in 2019. His eponymous debut EP featured the hit single "Dumebi," which became an instant success in Nigeria and across Africa, propelling him into the spotlight.

Since his debut, Rema has continued to innovate and diversify his sound, blending Afrobeats with trap, hip-hop, and global pop elements. Some of his recent releases, including "RAVAGE," "Pretty Girl," and "BUBALU," showcase his versatile musical style and global appeal. Noteworthy collaborations like "Them Belly Full (But We Hungry)" with Skip Marley, and "Soweto" alongside Don Toliver and Tempoe, demonstrate Rema's ability to bridge cultural and musical gaps, creating tracks that resonate with audiences worldwide. With songs like "Holiday / Reason You" and projects such as "Rave & Roses Ultra," Rema cements his reputation as a leading figure in the global music scene, pushing the boundaries of Afrobeats and earning acclaim both in Nigeria and internationally.
